Rapid Start Survey One Hour, One Name, One Location Extensive Internet Search, $25.

Rapid Start Internet and Census Search: Bob and Elaine Booth personally search for your family in Internet and Census records (including major subscription sites), giving you the necessary "rapid-start" needed to begin your research on a given line. Reasonable rates: $35 per hour includes printouts and sources of all information found. (8 hour minimum for a general search with a $280 advanced minimum deposit. Small specific searches may also be done with a 1 hour minimum for $35 advance minimum deposit).

Rapid Start Consulting Services: Bob and Elaine personally evaluate the information you have and give suggestions as to what you need to look for and where you are most likely to find it. Reasonable at $35 per hour, includes addresses of courthouses, historical societies, etc. as appropriate and FHL microfilm numbers of films that can be ordered from an Family History Center near you. (5 hour minimum = $175 advanced minimum deposit).

Data Entry Services: Information you have gathered and/or new information we have found can be data entered into a genealogy database. $30 per hour includes a Gedcom file of the completed project ready to import into your favorite genealogy program. (5 hour minimum provided with a $150 advanced minimum deposit. Any time not used will be refunded and additional time will be billed).

LDS Temple Ordinance Services: Ordinance dates can be thoroughly searched and updated in your database. Names can be TempleReady prepared, and Ordinance cards can be created and mailed to you. $30 per hour includes the appropriate disks and family name cards if desired. (5 hour minimum with a $150 advanced minimum deposit. Any time not used will be refunded and additional time will be billed.)

Photo Touchup and Editing Services: Prepare original photos and slides or your scanned photos for display and presentation with your personal history. Your photos should be scanned at 200 to 300 dpi for best results or 600 dpi if they are to be enlarged. We can remove blemishes, dust, scratches, and red-eye; adjust brightness, contrast, color balance, color saturation, sharpen or soften, and remove speckles and Moire patterns. $30 per hour includes high-quality photos in BMP or JPG format on a CD for storage and duplication. Deposit depends on size of the project and condition of original photos or slides.

OCR Scanning Services: Let us put that typewritten history into a word processor for best editing, spell checking, grammar checking, and duplication to family members. Edit it yourself, or have us do it for you--your choice. $30 per hour includes electronic copy of all completed work. Advance deposit depends on size of the project. Estimate about 20 to 25 pages per hour from clear typed originals.

Typing Services: Have a hand-written journal or history you want typed into a word processor. Have us do your typing. Edit it yourself, or have us edit it--your choice. $30 per hour includes electronic copy of all completed work. Advance deposit depends on size of the project.

1. Email us at CustomerService@cgslink.com put Rapid-Start Research in the subject line. Send us your name, phone number, mailing address, email address, and a brief summary of what you would like us to do. We will call you back to discuss the realities of the project.

2. For Internet, Census and Consulting services you will need to send us a family group sheet for the earliest generation that you want us to fill in or extend and send us the family group sheet for each of their children. Send copies of any event documentation you may already have (i.e. marriage records, birth records, military, probate, land etc., so we can evaluate them for "additional information". This will also prevent us from spending time duplicating work that has already been done. ).
